We built this because most longevity advice is confusing, impractical, or both.

The Slowing the Clock team

We started this website because we were frustrated.

Frustrated with health content written by people who'd never actually done the work. Frustrated with supplement companies dressed up as advice sites. Frustrated with the relentless hype, the miracle claims, the language that treats getting older like a disease to be cured.

We're a small team with deep backgrounds in nutrition, health science, elite sport and behavioural change — alongside the kind of knowledge that only comes from actually doing this stuff. Running the race. Tracking the numbers. Living the habits we write about.

We're based in Stirling — the gateway to the Scottish Highlands — which perhaps explains why getting outside and staying active isn't just something we write about.

What drives all of us — regardless of background — is the same thing: giving people straight, reliable information they can actually use. Which brings us to how we operate.

Full disclosure — this website doesn't pay for itself. We produce paid guides and programmes. The guides are very affordably priced, and as the site grows we're aiming to offer all our booklets free to subscribers. That said, what we sell, we stand behind. All our materials and programmes offer gold-standard advice — no supplements, no affiliate deals, no sponsored content shaping what we tell you. If we say something works, it's because the evidence says so.

Our aim is simple: give people in their 40s, 50s and 60s the same quality of information that was previously only accessible if you had the right doctor, the right gym, or the right postcode.
